Directions From M61 Leave M61 at Junction 6 onto A6027. Head for A6 signposted for Chorley. Turn right onto A6 towards Chorley. Get in the outside lane when approaching the set of traffic lights to continue on the A6 until you reach the next traffic lights at B5238 signposted for Horwich and turn right. Past the Ridgeway Arms, Blackrod Station and under the M61 then continue uphill. At the roundabout turn left signposted A673 Chorley. Take first right onto Lever Park Avenue. Take the fourth turning on the right into Fernhead Avenue. At the crossroads turn left and swing right onto Pennine Road.
From M6 Southbound Leave M61 at Junction 27 signposted for Parbold, Standish and Chorley A5209and take the direction for Chorley. At the T Junction turn left for Chorley A49. At traffic lights (Cross Roads), keep to the inside lane for ahead, signposted for Aspull and Haigh B5239. At mini roundabout turn left for Chorley B5106. At traffic lights (T Junction) turn right for Manchester A6. You will pass Fredrick's Ice Cream Parlour on your left as you turn, don't miss the opportunity to sample some of his many home made ices. Where the A6 splits take the left fork for Bolton A673 and go through the traffic lights (Cross Roads) in the centre of Adlington. Upon seeing the dual carriageway keep in the left hand lane to take a left before the roundabout onto Lever Park Avenue signposted Rivington. Take the fourth turning on the right into Fernhead Avenue. At the crossroads turn left and swing right onto Pennine Road.
From M6 Northbound At Junction 21a follow signs for Bolton M62 (M60) and at M60 Junction 12 follow signs for M61. At M61 Junction 15 follow signs for Preston. At M61 Junction 2 follow signs for Preston (not A666 Bolton). Leave M61 at Junction 6 and continue with directions given above for M61.
From Bolton Leave Bolton on A673 (Chorley New Road)and travel 6 miles to Horwich. Pass the Crown Hotel (on right)/Toll Bar (on left). and Negotiate traffic at this junction heading for Chorley. Take first right onto Lever Park Avenue signposted Rivington. Take the fourth turning on the right into Fernhead Avenue. At the crossroads turn left and swing right onto Pennine Road.
From Chorley Take A673 through Adlington and pass the reservoir (on left). Upon seeing the dual carriageway keep in the left hand lane to take a left before the roundabout onto Lever Park Avenue signposted Rivington. Take the fourth turning on the right into Fernhead Avenue. At the crossroads turn left and swing right onto Pennine Road.
